There’s no better time to chase your dreams in North Alabama. For the second year in a row, the Singing River Trail Launch Tank is accepting applications for this exciting Shark Tank-style competition.
About the 2023 Singing River Trail Launch Tank
This local business competition offers up to $20,000 in cash and prizes to qualified finalists. Existing and budding entrepreneurs, get ready to pitch your big ideas, business endeavors or community solutions.
A collaborative initiative between Singing River Trail and Launch2035, the second annual business competition hopes to be as successful as the first.
Last year, the Singing River Tank Launch received more than 40 applications from aspiring professionals and creatives. Applications were submitted from eight North Alabama counties, including Morgan County.
One of the main ideas behind the opportunity is to spur new businesses along what will be the Singing River Trail. Eventually, the trail will be a 200-plus-mile greenway system connecting the communities across North Alabama.
More about submitting an application
Applications are currently being accepted for review through the February 24th deadline. Next, finalists will be announced on March 6th.
Finally, selected applicants are invited to present their ideas to a panel of judges—or investors—on March 20th at Athens State University. Winners will be chosen and announced at the competition.
Qualified applicants must reside in Colbert, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall and Morgan counties. Remember, the competition is open to both established and potential entrepreneurs.
